Our suppliers maintain a strict prevention and monitoring policy – based on product, origin and specific risks. There must never be the slightest doubt as to the safety of our products. In areas suffering due to a plant disease or pest, supplementary samples of crops that are a high risk of exceeding the Maximum Residue Level (MRL) are taken for further risk control. More than half of our products are entirely residue-free. Analysis of the products are carried out in the country of origin. This way a product is checked to meet safety and quality assurance standards, even before being imported. Worldwide network of QS-certified laboratories is engaged to analyze products in their country of origin.
Our products form part of a valuable but vulnerable chain, which is why our suppliers maintain and develop strict food safety, environmental and behavioral standards. Supermarket chains and labels wishing to sell products that meet satisfy certification requirements can depend on us. Thanks to our good long-term relationships with reliable suppliers, we can source products that meet every food safety and quality requirement. The certificates of our suppliers can be provided on demand.
We supply fruit and vegetables that as a minimum have GlobalGAP certification. GlobalGAP offers guidelines for agricultural produce in which food safety and traceability are central. Growers are connected to monitoring system and meet strict quality demands. They produce their crops in accordance with European norms and they take part in GlobalGAP’s social module, GRASP. Where needed, we supply products with certifications such as Milieukeur, Nurture, Field to Fork, Qualität & Sicherheit, LEAF, McDonald’s GAP and BIO. Sorting and packaging sites are BRC- or IFS-certified.
